It’s been months since my last cigarette and all I can say is that it’s the best decision I made since I lit and puffed on my first stick. Not only did I lose my smoker’s cough and the annoying smell my girl hates so much, I also got my taste buds and sense of smell back to normal. Food now tastes and smells better and whenever I smell smoke from a cigarette, I can’t imagine I once puffed and inhaled that smoke myself. It’s kinda disgusting now that I think about it.

Smoking is probably the hardest thing to give up when you list down all the vices a person can have. I tried the patch, the gum and the dreaded cold turkey. None of them worked and all I did was go back to smoking with a vengeance. The only thing I did is use a healthier alternative, an electronic cigarette.

I’ve recently switched to a new sim with the hopes of being able to save money. Most of my friends and Amy of course use Globe sims. Signing up for a plan to save money and promos over their mobile network was quite a temptation to boot. I’ve used Smart Communication’s service for 3 years on a prepaid sim.  Since I rarely use my phone to connect with my friends since I stay at home 5 days a week for work.

After waiting a week or so for the sim to be activated via their base station, Globe just informed me my sim was activated 24 hours after I singed up for the plan. Unfortunately, my phone has been quite useless since. Signal was like catching fish with a flyswatter. In other words, where my Smart sim had the full bar signal inside my room, on my Globe sim, it never showed a hint of civilization. Nobody could ever contact me through my phone in this situation, that’s for sure. I did however have a full bar signal on the emergency calls network only.
