Deliver Us From Evil
This is probably one of those videos filmed for the purpose of educating people that even priests and people he shares his faith with, has their own way of handling what is deemed to be the worst crime a person can do to a child. It was a bit hard for myself to watch this video for the first time. But it has helped me to understand that humans, whether he’s a priest or not, is capable of committing crimes if he purposely wants to do so.
The documentary contains video footage of interviews of the victims after they’ve moved on. Victims and their family shares their experiences on how they dealt with their situation while Oliver O’Grady walks a free man while others inside the church was aware this was all happening right under their noses.
Deliver Us from Evil is a documentary film directed by Amy J. Berg which tells the true story of Catholic priest Oliver O’Grady, who sexually abused potentially hundreds of children between the late 1970s and early 1990s. The film won the Best Documentary Award at the 2006 Los Angeles Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.[1] The title refers to a line in the Lord’s Prayer, or the “Our Father.”
