A few months ago, I signed up for an account on myspace for the sole purpose of meeting more girls. Unfortunately, my stalking techniques did not work on such a basic site with search features that did not meet my strategy. I left my account to rott and my my email address was even deactivated.
After a month or so, I came back just to check what’s new, what this network is up to and why they keep getting more and more people to join. Then I discovered the niche this social network was targetting. It was not just a social network -it’s a viral community. It was just recently that myspace became more liberated. Bands, celebrities, athletes and even porn stars had accounts in their network and so did other people’s business (parlors, cafes, stores, etc.) and even their pet dogs and cats.
Now that’s what I can a virus. It’s the basic niche of getting more people to join. Let people design their own profiles and decide whether they want to add contents, comments, videos, photos and the good stuff - their business. I see a lot of potentials in this viral community and with the current network numbering 148 million users, for sure there will be someone who will exploit it’s capabilities come advertising and online marketing. I for one have a few ideas in my bag but I need to to mention them. Maybe in a few weeks or so. Hell! As soon as I get my debit card to pay for my own hosting, then that’s the time I’d start marketing my evil plan.
Sign up on myspace and get infected. Discover your own ways to market, advertise and share ideas. Take note, 148 million users. That’s more than the amount of people you can meet in your lifetime. The potential is there. So grab it before someone beats you to it.
